Kearney Flight Service Hosts Ribbon Cutting and Open House on October 5, 2022.

Kearney Flight Services invited members of the public out to the Kearney Regional Airport for a Ribbon Cutting ceremony and Open House! Over 300 people were in attendance to tour the newly remodeled Kearney Flight Services office and the Denver Air Connection jet. During the open house, attendees had the opportunity to meet the Kearney Flight Services and Denver Air Connection crews. Attendees also had the chance to win complimentary roundtrip tickets from Kearney to Denver.

Kearney Regional Airport is home to the Flight Base Operations building, Kearney Flight Services, as well as the main terminal for commercial flights. New expansions will begin on the Kearney Regional Airport terminal by the end of 2022, including new bathrooms and baggage claim. "Air service is essential. You have to be able to get to and from your home airport in order to visit family or do business in this area. To bring people in, you've got to have it. This crew is committed to being here. Two years is just the start, I think we'll be able to develop a long-term connection with these guys so they will be here for the foreseeable future," stated Assistant Airport Director Steven Cole (NTV News, Kearney).
